Bluerock Hut is pure charm. A little wooden hideaway warmed by an open fire first lit in 1922. Set towards the mountains, you can see the snow groomers working away into night, preparing the slopes at Mt Hutt  for the next day of adventure. Once there, sitting with a fine wine in hand while your body sinks into the old armchair on the verandah, you will find it hard to leave...
 
Your accommodation is nestled amongst the working farm of Kinloch Downs. A sheep/cattle and cropping property that is also a home to horses, pet pigs, hens and working dogs. All the animals are cared for with great devotion. You can come and involve yourselves in our daily work if you’d like.  Your pets are also welcome, you can even bring your horse. 
The location of Bluerock Hut is handy to popular destinations and local activities.  Methven is only 19 minutes away where you will find an array of cafes, restaurants as well as great shops and an art gallery.  

The hut is set in its own native garden, and has two outside baths. An abundance of candles are supplied for atmosphere if you choose the no electricity option.
A barbeque provides a self-catering option however a prepared breakfast, food platters and light  evening fare is also available or a picnic basket can be supplied on request.

Sink into the big comfortable armchairs that rest on the verandah and drink in the mountain view while sipping on a chilled wine from the huts cellar...and let the rest of the world go by.
